New Students Forum

As advertised today at Macquarie College to the year 12 students, we have opened a new forum for School Leavers and New Students. The new forum’s main purpose is to help those who are new to the Newcastle student scene. We know that it is hard to find your way around Uni, and with so many new things to learn, it can become a bit overwhelming. Well, we’re here to help you.

So ask your questions and students that have been there before will endeavour to answer your questions.

Along these lines, we will be publishing a new section on this site where we will collect and display answers to the most commonly asked questions.

Lastly, I would like to thank Emily, Jasmine, and Damien for their help in the production line, as well as during the presentation this morning :)

We Love the Watagans

100_8156.JPGWe had a really good time on Sabbath. We really enjoyed the singing (thanks Emma and team!). The acting of the Bible scenes was great, also! We have to do it more often. I have a really good idea for next time along the same lines, he he! I also really enjoyed the discussion, thank you for being so frank, honest and open-minded guys.

Thank you boys for the fire, that was a great idea! It made it so much more camping like. And, who likes Tim Tams, hmmm?? LOL

The walk was just revitalising, the waterfalls were beautiful, and it showed how unfit I am…

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot… Some of us ended up at my place, and we had some really good word games, and then we watched movies.

Anyway, thank you everyone for making last Sabbath such a wonderfully memorable day in our lives!

Important! Don’t forget to check out the pictures in our brand new gallery! The link is on the menu on the right :)

Outdoor Worship Service

Categories: Announcements, NASA.

Please, come and join us in worship, fun, and food on Sabbath, 22nd of September.

We will be meeting near Brown Falls in the Watagan Mountains. If you don’t know where this is, don’t worry we will provide detailed directions on how to get there, and we will pool people into cars as much as possible.

We plan to be up there at 10:30 am, and leave at about 3:00pm. So get a good breakfast, your walking shoes, your Bible, and prepare for a really blessed day.

We will be having a picnic after worship, and NASA will provide dessert and drinks for everyone.

We will then have some fun in nature ;)

Hope that you can come, and let your friends know.

We need to know who is able to drive, and how many of you will be coming so please. Contact me if plan to come.

UPDATE: For those of you that need directions, a group of us will meet at the Cooranbong Village Shopping carpark at 9:40am, then drive to mountains in a convoy

Hello, I’m Back From “Holidays”

Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that my holidays are now finished, and that I’ll be back at Uni this week.

There is a lot happening behind the scenes, and I just wanted to give you a small update.

First, we would like to start some new Bible Studies, and Small Groups. At this stage I think that Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesdays are good days for me. I’m also planning on having a short seminar on leadership. We are also planning an outing (maybe even camping!). Last, but not least we are planning for a joined activity with Wallsend Youth (possible on the 22nd of this month).

Many of you know Sven. He took a seminar at a recent youth meeting in Brisbane and was kind enough to send his notes to those of us who could not attend. I’ve been reading his notes and they have helped me a lot to get a bit more focused on my work as chaplain. I’ll be sharing some of these new insights with you shortly.

Lastly, there is a little surprise for everyone that registered to this website. We will disclose it later this week. So if you there’s still someone out there that hasn’t registered do it soon! I’m sure that you will like it. Here is a hint: you can now contact me at chaplain@nasa.org.au as well as my other addresses.

I love the verse for today: “The earth is filled with your love, O LORD; teach me your decrees.” (Psalm 119:64) I pray that you are a part of this amazing truth.
