Youth Church is coming around again. Mark the 31st of May on your calendar, because you’ve absolutely got to be there. Wallsend always puts on a great worship service for anyone who turns up. I myself have missed out of late and will NOT be truanting next Sabbath. Turn up early for free breakfast, all are welcome!

See you there

SASS Camp: Our Sydney family

Sydney Adventist Student Association had a very cool camp during ANZAC day long weekend down at Wombeyan Caves. Was amazing to experience God’s creation; from the falling autumn leaves to the freezing cold cave water!! There was the good old haystacks experience of Sabbath lunch, a talk on God’s team being the winning team, walks up hills and down cliffs, and Bible trivia to add to the mix :) Will be great to catch up with our Sydney family in future events, and at ASA Symposium!!!! ;)

Video | Southern Adventist University: Student Debate on Homosexuality

Posted on 5 May 2008 by Benjamin Galindo.
Categories: Chaplain.

I found the following while doing some research today. I haven’t watched all yet, but what I watched so far seems interesting. I thought I would post it here because the debate is done by students. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Video | Southern Adventist University: Student Debate on Homosexuality: ’Southern Adventist University sponsored a student panel discussion on homosexuality and Christian community. The event took place on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 in Lynn Wood Hall.

Student speakers included Matt Burdette, Jeremy Morrell, Shane Akerman, and Raymond Thompson. The event was organized by students with the support of the School of Social Work and Family Studies, History Department, and Campus Ministries.

The views presented do not reflect official views and statements of those of the Seventh-day Adventist Church or Southern Adventist University.’
